Patricia Truitt, LMT, offers gentle massage at Innersource.
Touch is the most basic of human needs and can be included in our busy modern life through professional massage sessions. Regular massage, along with healthy life style, stress management or parallel therapies, reflects the historical foundation of good health and is consistently documented all the way back to India and China 5000 years ago.
People often talk about their need to recharge, not about wanting more stress or anxiety during busy times. As an advocate of the body, mind, and spirit approach, Patricia combines mindful presence and connecting massage protocols to help clients reach a very deep state of relaxation.
Massage sessions provide the ideal window for improved circulation, opening of restricted fascia, and light stretching of tight muscles. Peaceful music and gentle breath work during massage sessions can assist the journey of the mind towards an alpha state. Systemically, the body slowly relaxes into a regenerative parasympathetic state, where optimal cell repair and molecular nutrition occur. Massage is a recommended once a month because positive results can be accumulative, for instance, research shows high levels of cortisol in chronically tense muscles may be reduced with massage.
Do what the ancients did to stay in balance--get a massage and relax.
